New year, keep being you 🌟


This time of year feels like the turning of a page. Things seem to slow down (as people take time off to be with loved ones) and simultaneously speed up (the mad dash to get everything done before the holidays, the high-pressure “new year, new me” energy).

Like many, I grew up setting New Year’s resolutions — like eat healthier, exercise more, improve my sleep. While there’s nothing wrong with setting these goals, this year I want to try something different (& I welcome you to join me).

Instead of looking ahead at 2026 & asking “how else can I improve myself?”, what if we looked back at 2025 & asked these questions, with curiosity & non judgment:

⭐️ When, this year, did you feel most like yourself?

⭐️ When, this year, did you feel disconnected from yourself?


For example: I feel most like myself when I’m walking in nature (ideally near water), speaking truthfully, traveling to new places, and writing from my heart.

What about you?

Based on your observations, you can make an informed decision about how you want to navigate this next year.

Whatever makes you feel like yourself, is a doorway to joy, connection, and an authentic life.

Whatever makes you feel disconnected from yourself (ex: being in certain spaces, navigating specific relationships) might be information about the ways you mask.

To be clear, it’s not wrong to mask (sometimes it’s very necessary). But we all need spaces to unmask as well.


Instead of “new year, new me” energy — what if we released the pressure to become the most perfectly optimized version of ourselves, and just focused on BEING ourselves?

Because the difference between a life that looks good on paper, and a life that genuinely feels good, is how connected you are to yourself. 💗

And in case you didn’t already know: who you are is a gift to this world.
